Kristen Stewart looked stunning at the premiere of Spencer at the BFI London Film Festival on Thursday, October 7. The highly-anticipated biopic follows the late Princess Diana during a tumultuous Christmas holiday at the Sandringham Estate leading up to her divorce from Prince Charles.

Wearing a strapless custom Chanel gown, the actress, 31, glowed on the red carpet as she signed autographs for eager fans and answered pressing questions ahead of the premiere.

The star also posed with Spencer cast members Jacki Nielen (Prince William) and Freddie Spry (Prince Harry). Instantly, fans spotted similarities between the Spencer trio and Diana and her sons.

Stewart has blossomed at recent red carpets for the upcoming drama. In September, the actress attended the first premiere for Spencer at the Venice Film Festival. She let her strawberry blonde hair down, falling just short of her shoulders, and wore a Chanel set. Perhaps, Stewart’s status as a Chanel ambassador is to thank for her elegant red carpet moments lately, or it could be her portrayal of The People’s Princess.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Stewart explained how her time as the Princess of Wales affected her. “Recently having played Diana in this movie, this experience has opened me up, and I just feel taller, and I took more light into my physicality making this movie than I ever have,” the leading lady stated.

Princess Diana has been the source of countless movies and documentaries over the years. Understanding the world’s fascination with Diana is simple—she had a spirit that resonated.

“She also is someone who is not afraid to laugh and dance and cry and do it all in public and be messy, but also just be somebody who loves unabashedly. It’s such a beautiful feeling — letting yourself lead with light,” Stewart continued.

Positive reviews are already flooding in following the UK screening, and it seems the Oscars could be on the horizon for Stewart.

The film will release on November 5. Until then, you can find us watching and re-watching the trailer.
