The 27th Annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards: Here Are This Year’s Best Dressed

The 27th annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards took place on October 19 at the iconic Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. ELLE honored nine incredible women: Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Jodie Comer, Gemma Chan, Jennifer Hudson, Rita Moreno, Lauren Ridloff, Gal Gadot, and Salma Hayek. Unfortunately, four honorees (Chan, Jolie, Hayek, and Ridloff) were unable to attend due to exposure to COVID-19. As crushing as this reminder is for fans that there is still an ongoing pandemic, the Eternals superheroes’ presence could be felt in the room throughout the night. Celebrities came out to honor these gifted women dressed in designers, from Peter Dundas to Ralph Lauren to Versace, among others. Here are this year’s best dressed:

1. Halle Berry

Halle Berry one of this year’s honorees, opted for a boho-chic look in her plunging floral dress designed by Peter Dundas. Her dress is a part of the Dundas x Revolve collection, which contains gowns and mini dresses. The “Catwoman” actress wore a stunning updo and completed her look with black heels. The actress was joined by her partner, Van Hunt.

2. Mj Rodriguez

Pose star Mj Rodriguez, was a green goddess last night in her emerald-green sequined mini dress designed by Valentino. The actress looked chic in the emerald ensemble with feathery sleeves. Rodriguez posted on Instagram thanking Etienne Ortega for the makeup glam, Barry Lee Moe for the hair, and Katie Bofshever for styling.

3. Kerry Washington

The Scandal actress wore a gorgeous Ralph & Russo striped silver, white and metallic bronze gown. The strapless dress was adorned with sequins and glitter. Washington’s shiny dark brown hair flowed at her backside, allowing fans to see her gold hoops. The actress adds she would only be “dressing UP on a Tuesday for Rita Moreno, the Latina legend and one of the honorees.

4. Gal Gadot

The Wonder Woman actress and honoree showed that less is more, in her stunning red carpet look. The actress wore a pink halter dress with a leg slit courtesy of Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello. The pink number also features a beautiful black rose embellishment at the neckline. She accessorized the look with strappy, black heels.

5. Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson is a vision in white wearing a striking all-white Ralph Lauren suit. The singer was all smiles and elevated the look with a bold red lip. She made her look pop even more with Tamara Mellon’s black pumps. Hudson wore Pomellato jewelry to the event.

6. Ciara

The “Level Up” singer wowed with her white Mônot gown with a thigh-high slit from the spring/Summer 2022 collection. The singer opted for an “all-white kinda night,” pairing the elegant gown with white heels. Ciara wore an updo and was accessorized with shiny jewels. The singer glistened in the night.

7. Rita Moreno

Last but not least, history-making Latina, Rita Moreno. The actress and singer wore a cinched-waist black and white suit by Ralph Lauren. Moreno was honored by ELLE with Kerry Washington introducing one of the world’s national treasures.
