Zayn Malik has pleaded no contest to the multiple alleged harassment charges from ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid and her mother, Yolanda. The charges filed were due to an alleged volatile dispute on September 29 between Malik and Yolanda. Yolanda accused Malik of “shoving her into a dresser” and “causing mental anguish and physical pain.” The former One Direction singer, 28, vehemently denies striking Yolanda but admitted “harsh words shared” during the argument.

“I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private” Malik stated.

The singer added: “In an effort to protect that space for my daughter I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago. This was and still should be a private matter but it seems for now there is divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been ‘leaked’ to the press. I am hopeful though for healing and for all involved with the harsh words shared and more importantly I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves.”

According to the report from the police, Malik cursed at Yolanda, calling her a “f****** Dutch s***” and told her to “stay away from my f****** daughter.” He yelled at her, “the f****** sperm that came out of my f******c***” and engaged in “continuous cursing.”

The other harassment claim was filed by Gigi. The supermodel was not home during the alleged argument but was supposedly on the phone with Gigi or Yolanda at one point. Gigi accused Malik of screaming at her, “strap on some f****** balls and defend your partner against your f****** mother in my house.”

During the alleged fight, security guard John McMahon was present and accused Malik of trying to attack him. Malik allegedly yelled at McMahon to “get the f*** out of my f****** house copper.”

On Wednesday, Malik pleaded no contest to the harassment claims and was charged with four criminal offenses. However, he was fined and sentenced to 90 days of probation for each offense, a total of 360 days. In addition, he was ordered to complete an anger management class, a domestic violence program, and must not have any contact with Yolanda and McMahon. His probation can end early if he goes six months without any violations.

The couple has broken up after dating on and off for six years. They also share a thirteen-month-old daughter, Khai. A representative for Gigi issued a statement: “Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time.” A family friend reported: “They are not together right now. They are both good parents though. They co-parent. Yolanda is of course very protective of Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and grandchild.”

Since the allegations surfaced, Yolanda faced backlash on social media. Most of the comments asked Yolanda to “leave Zayn, Gigi, and Khai alone.” Yolanda disabled her comments on Instagram. Malik’s family unfollowed Gigi on Instagram; however, Malik and Gigi still follow each other.
