‘Gucci Love Parade’ Brings the Starshine with Macaulay Culkin and Jared Leto
Tuesday night brought some vintage Hollywood glam to the Walk of Fame with Gucci’s Spring 2022 show, featuring celebrity appearances by Macaulay Culkin and Jared Leto.
Alessandro Michele gave new meaning to “star-studded” by turning the star-covered Walk of Fame into a catwalk, on which a plethora of celebrities were adorned in his latest designs. His designs perfectly emulate old Hollywood, with some gorgeous Gucci flare in a show that he called “Gucci Love Parade.”

In a press conference after the show, Michele spoke about where he drew his inspiration for the collection. He told the crowd that he initially intended on being a costume designer, having grown up with a mother who sparked his love for films and old Hollywood. He brought that same love to these new pieces, which included fantastical cinematic wardrobes from calico to cowboy. In typical Gucci style, the looks were cooled down with a very chic and modern approach.
Los Angeles was the ideal location for this glamorous event. Michele said of the city, “LA is not a fashion city, but it so fashionable.” Fashionable, indeed, and easily seen in the glamourous names that sat in the audience on Tuesday night. Gwyneth Paltrow, Miley Cyrus, Lizzo, Salma Hayek, Dapper Dan, Lindsey Vonn, and Tyler, the Creator all sat in the audience as models rocked their looks from the doors of the TCL Chinese Theater and down the Walk of Fame sidewalks.

Macaulay Culkin appeared in the show to strut, Look 48, and it seemed to shock quite a few people. The actor has been laying relatively low until his recent starring role in American Horror Story: Double Feature. His surprise appearance impressed audiences, who found Culkin to be looking suave in Michele’s new line.
Fans of Gucci, and even those who did not pay too much mind to the brand, are expressing their love for the Spring 2022 Collection.

More celebrities that strutted in Michele’s latest work included Miranda July, Jared Leto, and Jodie Turner-Smith. It makes perfect sense that these leading lights were adorned in pieces from the new collection—It is, after all, a collection fit for Hollywood stars, from the stage to the streets.
