New ‘Paw Patrol’ Movie Lands a Sequel
It looks like Chase and his friends will be returning to the big screen. The new Paw Patrol movie’s sequel is in the works. The sequel, entitled Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie is set to hit theaters on October 13, 2023. In addition to gaining a sequel, Paw Patrol landed a spin-off series that is expected to release sometime in 2023.

Paw Patrol: The Movie was a huge success, grossing over $135 million. The film was available in both theaters and on Paramount+. Not only did the film receive an excellent critics score, but also a high audience score as well. The movie received a 79% Rotten Tomatoes score and a 97% audience score. Spin Master’s president Jennifer Dodge announced her excitement about Paw Patrol’s success and the film’s sequel in a statement.

Dodge explained, “We loved telling a deeper PAW Patrol story on a bigger canvas and are pleased that the movie connected so strongly with kids and families around the world. Judging by the exit polls, audience scores, and positive critical reception, everyone had as much fun watching it, and rewatching it, as we did making it. We’re looking forward to taking kids on a new adventure in the second film with our partners and can’t wait to further expand our storytelling with one of the fan-favorite pups in our spin-off.”

Even the CEO of Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures Brian Robbins confirmed the sequel.
“Just as the first movie’s success in theaters and streaming confirmed PAW Patrol‘s status and power as a top, globally loved franchise, this second theatrical release paired with the property’s very first television spin-off will mark another major step in creating a universe of characters and stories to reach even more fans everywhere. We here at Paramount and Nickelodeon are focused on keeping the momentum going with our great partners at Spin Master to keep giving kids and families more PAW Patrol adventures across multiple mediums.”
Based on the beloved Nickelodeon show, the film focused on Ryder and his police dog, Chase, who embark on a mission to save Adventure City from havoc against Humdinger. Humdinger, who breaks out of prison, partners up with a mad scientist to steal superpowers. The sequel will center around the Paw Patrol pups as they become The Mighty Pups after a meteor crashes into the city.

Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie is expected to hit theaters on October 13, 2023. The spin-off has no official airdate but is expected to debut in 2023. In the meantime, fans can stream Paw Patrol: The Movie and the show Paw Patrol on Paramount+.
