On November 5, Little Mix released their pop ballad ‘Between Us,’ co-written by Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirwall. The new track is a prelude to the group’s upcoming greatest-hits album, which will share the same title.

Working together with Janée Bennett and Uzoechi Emenike on their newest song, Little Mix, brings us a song about friendship and the unbreakable bond between the girls. The emotional lyrics send an empowering message, and it perfectly sets the tone for the musical trio’s 10th-anniversary celebration.

With lyrics like, “safe to say I’ll stay, I will always stick around,” and “if you’re knocked, I’m your rock,” the group emphasizes their unconditional love and support for each other on and off the stage. With the release of the song, Little Mix also dropped a lyric video depicting highlights of their time together, dating back from 2011 up to the present.

The uplifting lyrics fit the theme of the new album, paying tribute to their previous hits like ‘Sweet Melody’ and ‘Wings’ by name-dropping them throughout the song. Needless to say, this didn’t go unnoticed by fans.

“This song is extremely special to us.” The trio noted in an Instagram post following the release of the song, “It’s about the last ten years and everything we’ve been through together.” They continue to describe this song as particularly emotional compared to their previous releases, jokingly asking, “who knows how we’re gonna get through this one live.”

The release of ‘Between Us’ marks their first single after 2020’s ‘Confetti,’ and the new album is set to feature 18 of their greatest hits, as well as five new tracks. It comes just in time for the group’s rescheduled Confetti Tour, currently set for April 2022 with special guests Since September.
