Kacey Musgraves Shares Her Version of Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’
Grammy award-winning artist Kacey Musgraves has shared her rendition of “Fix You,” Coldplay’s 2005 hit song. The country singer contributed her vocals for the short film, A Future Begins, her partnership with Chipotle and Carhartt.
Kacey Musgraves is the latest artist to collaborate with Chipotle to emphasize the need for sustainable farming. A Future Begins a sequel to the 2011 short film, Back to the Start. The first film from a little over a decade ago featured country legend Willie Nelson covering “The Scientist,” another signature song in Coldplay’s discography.
On November 16, the “Space Cowboy” singer shared her rendition of “Fix You” to social media. A Future Begins still holds the same message as its predecessor, Back to the Start; however, the latest film communicates more urgency for the next generation of family farmers in America. This is an issue that the singer is passionate about, and she is undoubtedly thrilled to be a Chipotle partner. Musgraves herself writes on Twitter, “To be able to make music while supporting such a great cause means a lot to me.”

Chris Brandt, CMO, discussed the revolution of Chipotle’s campaign a decade ago to now in the present in a press release. He reveals, “‘Back to the Start’ was an iconic moment in advertising almost a decade ago, serving as the brand’s first-ever national TV ad. While Chipotle’s values remain unchanged, the urgency behind our efforts to revitalize farming has only intensified.” With this statement and its mission in mind, A Future Begins will debut during the high-rating Thanksgiving Day football game.
