Sir Elton John and Ed Sheeran have shared their highly-anticipated collaboration “Merry Christmas.” Their duet has been in the making for quite some time now, and fans can finally celebrate the holidays by adding another Christmas classic to their playlists.

John and Sheeran’s “Merry Christmas” will be benefitting two charities: Ed Sheeran’s Suffolk Music Foundation and The Elton John AIDS Foundation. Sheeran’s foundation “aims to help young people under the age of 18, and living in Suffolk (UK), with small but useful grants to help with studying or playing music.” John’s foundation was established in 1992 and is a force to be reckoned with. For almost three decades, the singer has worked tirelessly to end any stigmas against AIDS as well as striving to end the AIDS epidemic.

News of the close friends' collaboration circulated on the internet on November 30. But I actually wrote the chorus that day, and here we are. Our Christmas song 'Merry Christmas' is out this Friday. Go pre-order or pre-save it now. It has sleigh bells. A lot of them...."
