Jennifer Aniston, Kathryn Hahn, Gabrielle Union, and Allison Tolman are starring in the new reboot of The Facts of Life. Characters from both The Facts of Life and Diff’rent Strokes will be returning to the television screen.

The group of women will be playing teenagers from the show’s fictional private school, Eastland School. Aniston will be playing Blair Warner, Union as Dorothy “Tootie” Ramsey, Hahn as Jo Polniaczek, and Tolman as Natalie Green. Ann Dowd will be a part of the cast, playing Mrs. Garrett, the housemother. Live in Front of a Studio Audience will reboot the beloved 1980s sitcom into a 90-minute special, which will air on December 7 on ABC. The show will air on Hulu the next day. The Facts of Life will cross over into Diff’rent Strokes.

Jimmy Kimmel, who is serving as an executive producer, was excited to work with the group of all-star women.

Diff’rent Strokes centers around a family in the late 70s who are brought together by circumstance. Two brothers Arnold and Willis Jackson are taken in by their wealthy mother’s employer, New York businessman Philip Drummond after their mother dies. The brothers and the Drummonds become a family as the brothers learn about life. Damon Wayans will be playing older brother Willis, Kevin Hart as Arnold, and John Lithgow as Philip Drummond. 

Live Before a Studio Audience is executive produced by Norman Lear, Jimmy Kimmel, Brent Miller, Kerry Washington, Will Ferrell, Justin Theroux, and Jim Burrows. Kimmelot, ACT III Productions, Gary Sanchez Productions, D’Arconville, Simpson Street, and Sony Pictures Television are its producers. Burrows and Andy Fisher are directing the live show.
