FKA twigs Announces New Mixtape ‘CAPRISONGS’
FKA twigs is releasing a new project this January. CAPRISONGS, the singer’s 17-track mixtape, will be available on January 14.
On January 6, “Fallen Alien” singer FKA twigs revealed the stunning cover art for her upcoming project, CAPRISONGS. She also announced the setlist and collaborators that appear on the mixtape. She writes on Instagram, “CAPRISONGS is my journey back to myself through my amazing collaborators and friends.”
The singer elaborates more on the meaning behind her project:
“CAPRISONGS… it’s bronzer in the sink, alco pop on the side, a cherry lolly, apple juice when ur thirsty, friends in the park, your favourite person, that one sentence somebody said to you that changed everything, a club pre-game, your bestie who is always late but brings the most to the party, meeting a friend at the airport, just togetherness,
my world, London, Hackney, L.A., New York, Jamaica.
It’s my stubborn caprisun ass telling me to work thru my pain by delivering at work, don’t think just go studio and create, my saggi moon being the enigmatic temptress craving the club, to dance, and to be social, and my pisce venus hot mess disastrous heart falling in love all over again, but this time with music and with myself.”
On the 17-track mixtape, CAPRISONGS features various collaborations. Last month, the singer shared “Tears In The Club,” her first collaboration with The Weeknd. Other artists that make an appearance on the mixtape include Pa Salieu, Shygirl, Dystopia, Rema, Daniel Caesar, Jorja Smith, and Unknown T.
Fans are eager to hear this upcoming project, which marks her first major music since her sophomore 2019 record, MAGDALENE.
We could not be more excited about FKA twigs’ lengthy upcoming project. In the meantime, fans can stream twigs’ discography on all major music platforms.
