Aubrey Plaza Joins New Season 2 of ‘White Lotus’
Aubrey Plaza has been cast in season 2 of the critically acclaimed series, The White Lotus. Plaza will be a series regular on the hit show.
On January 10, it was revealed that HBO has tapped Aubrey Plaza to star in the upcoming installment of The White Lotus. Following the exciting news of a second season, the dark comedy will be starting with a clean slate. The latest season will feature a whole new set of characters checking in to a completely different White Lotus than the previous season. Plaza’s character is named Harper Spiller, a woman who is on vacation with her husband and his friends.

The Parks & Recreation alum is not the first new character to be revealed so far. The Sopranos actor Michael Imperioli was the first confirmed new series regular. He will star as Dominic Di Grasso, a man traveling with his elderly father and recent college-graduate son. Imperioli is a huge fan of the show, as he shared a photo praising actress Jennifer Coolidge’s performance in the series.
Although characters from Season 1 are said to not be returning this upcoming season, it has been rumored that Coolidge will be returning. The actress plays the grieving Tanya McQuoid, stealing the show. Upon the news of Imperioli joining the cast, he tagged the actress in his post, leaving fans to believe that she could strongly be returning.
Plaza being cast in the satirical dark comedy has left fans excited for the endless possibilities. Many stormed social media at the prospect of a Coolidge x Imperioli x Plaza collaboration.

The White Lotus was created by Mike White. The 6-episode series premiered on July 11, receiving rave reviews. Season 1 starred Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Lukas Gage, Fred Hechinger, Jake Lacy, Brittany O’Grady, Natasha Rothwell, Sydney Sweeney, and Steve Zahn.
There have not been many plot details divulged for the upcoming season, but it is safe to say that fans are excited about the latest casting choice. The White Lotus is available to stream on HBO Max.
