‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Won’t Return for a New Season
“I Know What You Did Last Summer” has been canceled after one season. The series is based on the 1997 film and 1973 book by Lois Duncan, and is an Amazon Prime original. It has received a lot of mixed reviews, mostly critical, claiming that the show was redundant compared to its movie counterpart.
Just because you know you’re going to lose something doesn’t make it any easier when it actually happens. I loved you I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER 😞 https://t.co/xQX8iMpNHC

The show was written by Sara Goodman, and had many new faces to the industry seen throughout it. Some of them include Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, and Madison Iseman.
Seriously they canceled I Know What You Did Last Summer 😡. They need to bring back that and Panic the tv show

At least the show ended with twists and turns. Allison (Madison Iseman) discovers that Margot (Brianne Tju) is the killer who’s been hunting down their friends since the night of a car accident. Dylan (Ezekial Goodman) was the presumed killer, but it was far from the truth. In the end, Allison keeps Margot’s secret and told the police that Dylan was the killer. This leads to Dylan getting thrown in jail.
During an interview with Us Weekly, Tju shared how difficult it was the keep the true killer’s identity a secret.
It’s a bummer it got canceled because it was a really interesting re-imagining of the book/film

Definitely worth a watch if you haven’t had time. The season is more or less self-containedhttps://t.co/dpIzIpLUSZ
“It was the hardest secret for me to keep. “I believe once we started shooting the last block — episodes seven and eight — that showrunner Sara Goodman told everybody, and then when they were going to know anyway because the episode scripts were coming out. I think everyone kind of had the same reaction of like, ‘Oh my God!’ But also, ‘Oh yeah, that makes sense!’ Margot’s definitely a little crazy!”
Unfortunately, the fate of the characters will remain unknown. Luckily, the first season is available to stream on Amazon Prime.
