Lizzo Serves as a Phenomenal Guest Judge for Season Premiere of Rupaul’s Drag Race
On the season 14 premiere of Rupaul’s Drag Race, “Rumor” singer Lizzo made a stunning entrance, surprising the contestants of the show. She gave them a mind-blowing pep talk about the opportunities they now have since making it on the show.

When meeting the contestants for the first time, Lizzo praises them and gives a pep talk, “Hey queens it’s me Lizzo…You know congratulations first of all. Welcome to RuPaul’s drag race. Your life is about to change forever, so just embrace it. Soak it up. Be a m** star…Oop! I meant a m** star and show these…who’s boss. Now who’s going to win? One more time when I say who going to win? I need you to say m** ME.”
The new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race premiered on January 7 on the VH1 network. The promo video gives a tease for the season’s theme, Candyland, a nostalgic childhood board game. The contestants of this season were: Alyssa Hunter, Angeria Paris VanMicheals, Bosco, Daya Betty, DeJa Skye, Jasmine Kennedie, Jorgeous, June Jambalaya, Kerri Colby, Kornbread “The Snack” Jeté, Lady Camden, Willow Pill, Maddy Morphosis, and Orion Story.
Along with Lizzo serving as the guest judge for the premiere episode of season 14, the other judges of the show: RuPaul, Michelle Visage, and Ross Mathews made the episode interesting to watch. With these four dynamic personalities as judges, the episode was a rollercoaster with astonishing performances and funny commentary.

The season premiere ended with a sensational performance. During the elimination round, Orion Story and June Jambalaya were set to be eliminated. So for order for RuPaul to decide who will remain, Orion Story and June Jambalaya will do a lip-sync performance to the song, ‘Water Me‘, by guest judge Lizzo. In the end, Orion Story was eliminated, and June Jambalaya remained.
