Andrew Garfield Refused to Spill the Beans About New Spiderman: No Way Home Movie
Andrew Garfield kept his lips sealed in regards to Spider-Man: No Way Home. Former co-star and ex-girlfriend, Emma Stone kept prying for secrets about the new movie, but Garfield wouldn’t budge. During an interview with Josh Horowitz on his Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Tick, Tick…Boom! actor explained how Stone kept texting him, dying to know if he was in the film.
“Emma kept on texting me. She was like, ‘Are you in this new ‘Spider-Man’ film?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about!’ Garfield explained. “She was like, ‘Shut up, just tell me,’ And like, I honestly… I kept it going, even with her, it’s hilarious. And then she saw it and was like, ‘You’re a jerk!’”

Garfield, 38, and Stone, 33, met on The Amazing Spider-Man movie in 2012 where they played Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy. Of course, they played each other’s love interests and feelings began to blossom outside of the movie. The two dated for roughly four years before calling it quits in 2015. However, the two remain close friends to this day.

“We care about each other so much, and that’s a given, that’s kind of this unconditional thing,” Garfield said on Vanity Fair‘s podcast about Emma Stone. “There’s so much love between us and so much respect. It’s also been wonderful to have that kind of support for each other It’s nothing but a beautiful thing.”

As per the Spider-Man role, Garfield sat down with The Wrap and claimed he hated “lying” about his appearance.
“It was like this massive game of Werewolf that I was playing with journalists and with people guessing, and it was very fun. There were moments where I was like, ‘God, I hate lying.’ I don’t like to lie and I’m not a good liar, but I kept framing it as a game. And I kept imagining myself purely as a fan of that character, which is not hard to do.”
