Disney has a long list of animated movies adapted into live-action. Cruella, Aladdin, Lady and the Tramp, and The Lion King have been adapted most recently. The Little Mermaid, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, and Snow White are some of the films in the works.

The original film debuted in 1970. The movie follows Dutchess, a spoiled cat, and her kittens, Berlioz, Marie, and Toulouse, who live in Paris with retired opera singer Adelaide Bonfamile and butler Edgar. When Edgar learns that the cats will be receiving the fortunes after Adelaide dies, he devises a plan to get rid of the cats; this plan includes him kidnapping and abandoning the cats in the countryside. While there, Dutchess meets an alley cat named Tom O’Malley, who teams up with her and her family to help them find their way back home.

The film’s status is unknown, along with the release date and if it will be available on Disney+ or just in theaters. While fans wait for more information, the original The Aristocats is available to stream on Disney+.
