Ultimately, Garfield had one of his friends show the delivery guy their ID. After the incident, the presumed delivery guy posted his experience with Garfield and rumors began to spread. Garfield vehemently denied this until recently he confirmed it was true. Garfield attempted to keep his role a secret and lied to the news outlets about it. He even kept this secret from his close friend/former girlfriend, Emma Stone about it. The only people who knew about it were his parents and brother.
