Indie music lovers everywhere, gather around in your mom jeans and grandpa sweaters because Wallows is back and better than ever with a new single.
News of the band’s latest music endeavor broke after they posted the name and cover art of the song on both their Twitter and Instagram accounts. In a recent tweet, frontman, Dylan Minnette, indicated that this is the start of a new era for the indie band.

This announcement is coming just days after the band’s Instagram account was completely cleaned out with only a plain yellow profile picture to keep fans guessing about when they would receive new music and what it would entail.

The group revealed last month that they would be coming out with a new album titled Tell Me That It’s Over, and it leaves fans wondering if this “new era” will have that same 80s dream-pop sound from one of their biggest hits, “Are You Bored Yet?” or whether they will be revamping into something grittier. After all, it seems that many artists are going down the rock route like Machine Gun Kelly and even Demi Lovato, who has been teasing about a new rock era.

Fans couldn’t contain their excitement on social media, and to start this era off with a nostalgic bang, they were sent LG flip phones by the indie stars themselves which contain easter eggs regarding the upcoming album.

The trio of musicians, which includes drummer Cole Preston, bassist Braeden Lemasters, and previously mentioned singer and guitarist, Dylan Minnette, will be embarking on a tour for their album beginning in April.
