BTS Inspired Chipotle to Change Its Twitter Name
Our favorite BTS members are back at it again. While filming onset in the United States, the group shared their first experience eating Chipotle, with a conversation that led to its shift in its Twitter name.
BTS‘ latest Bangtan Bomb, which is uploaded regularly to their official YouTube channel, allowed fans to get a glimpse behind their production and filming for The Late Late Show With James Corden. Here, they shared their first experiences with none other than Chipotle, an American restaurant chain that serves a simple menu of Mexican-inspired food.
“How do you eat this? What is this, Chicotle? Chipotle?” Jungkook says in Korean, with J-Hope behind him adding, “I thought they said it was chocolate at first!”
Jungkook took a moment to tell the camera just how good his food was: “This is so good. I love this. I want to eat this every day.”
It seems to the ARMY that it’s ‘Chicotle’ from now on. Chipotle agreed that anything BTS says goes, as the company switched their official Twitter username to ‘Chicotle.’
In response, Chipotle tweeted an endearing “gm tannies” and changed their header image on Twitter following the video’s upload and trending views.
A BTS fan later inquired on the Chipotle thread if there would be any exclusive offers or codes for the ARMY that could be used on their delicious bowls. The brand replied with “tomorrow?” using the fandom’s signature purple heart emoji, curated and signified by our favorite Bangtan Boys. The code, however, has yet to be unveiled.
But, it seems fitting to say that BTS most definitely purples Chipotle. It’s hard to overstate the impact and global influence of BTS due to their musical works and humble personalities; I’m sure we’ll be all rushing to ‘Chicotle’ soon, thanks to our very own Jeon Jungkook.
