HYBE Reveals the Official Teaser for ‘Stay Alive’ by BTS’ Jungkook x SUGA

On January 30, HYBE announced and revealed the official teaser for ‘Stay Alive,’ a song for BTS’ new webtoon series, 7 Fates: CHAKHO. by BTS Jungkook and Suga.

For their latest and brand new Webtoons series, 7 Fates: Chakho is inspired by Joseon Dynasty’s tiger-hunting officers called chakhogapsa. It pays homage to traditional Korean folklore about tigers and revolves around seven boys who create a tiger hunting team called Chakho as their fates are connected.

Webtoons are digital comics that originated in South Korea. These comics are usually read on smartphones. Webtoons may also be referred to as manhwa — a term used to characterize Korean comics. We also see that various Webtoons series have become popular and adapted into Korean Dramas and Netflix series for fans and audiences, such as True Beauty, Love Alarm, or Something About Us.

SUGA produced the song with vocals by our favorite lead vocalist, Jeon Jungkook. With its 16-second soothing teaser, ARMY worldwide is ecstatic as BTS continues to win over our hearts. BTS, are widely known for their talented musical writing, producing, and vocal capabilities, which many of us are familiar with.

Released on January 15, the Webtoons series has broken records impeccably across its platform. The digital comic was viewed over 15 million times two days following its January 15 release, the highest of any new webtoon on Korea’s online portal Naver. It has consistently been trending since its publication.

7 Fates: Chakho is available in 10 different languages, including English, German, and Spanish, and has garnered positive reviews worldwide, scoring a 9.91 rating on Naver Webtoon’s global service platform as of January 17.

“Stay Alive” will be fully released on February 4 at 9 PM EST.
