New Information for Inventing Anna Has Dropped
New details and information for the new mini-series Inventing Anna have been released. This new eight-episode Netflix series is set to air this month.
Inventing Anna centers around real-life scam artist Anna Delvey. The faux heiress charms and deceives New York’s elites into donating money to create a fake art space and private members’ club called Anna Delvey Foundation. Delvey used her confidence to swindle investors to fund her lavish lifestyle. It is later to be discovered that German socialite Anna Delvey was actually a Russian con-artist named Anna Sorkin.

A journalist named Vivian is assigned to interview and investigate Delvey. What inspired Rhimes to create this show was when she read a New York Magazine story called, How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People by Jessica Parker. In real life, Delvey was released from prison for good behavior after serving less than four years.

In addition, a boyfriend was added to Inventing Anna. Like Anna, Chase is also a con artist who is trying to get money for a new app called Wake. Wake is used to unraveling data about dreams. The question is asked as to why Anna was punished for her crimes and not Chase for his? Moreover, the assistant district attorney creates a defense team in an attempt to free Anna.

The cast consists of Julia Garner (Anna Delvey/Anna Sorkin), Anna Chlumsky (Vivian), Katie Lowes (Rachel), Alexis Floyd (Neff), Arian Moayed (Todd), Anders Holm (Jack), Laverne Cox (Kacy Duke), and Saamer Usmani (Chase Sikorski). Bridgerton’s Shonda Rhymes serves as the creator of the show. Some names of the characters and news outlets have been changed.
