Sydney Sweeney Reveals to Fans Alexa Demie Accidentally Broke Her Toe

During her appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden, Sydney Sweeney, Euphoria star, revealed that her co-star Alexa Demie and best friend Maddy on the series stepped on and broke her toe. 

Currently, at a rating of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, the hit HBO series Euphoria has gained nationwide praise. Zendaya, who plays “Rue,” one of the series’ main characters, made history by becoming the youngest woman to win an Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a drama series. Zendaya’s big win and fans’ excitement on social media has brought great attention to the show.

The first four episodes of season two have been released, and fans are hyped to see the love triangle between Cassie, Maddy, and Nate play out. In the interview with Corden, Cassie talks a little more about her role and the unexpected injury on set.

Sydney stated, “In one of the episodes, a character that’s very upset with Cassie right now accidentally stepped on me.” When asked by Corden if it was the dude or a girl, Sweeney smirked and said, “Maybe, but I can’t give too much away.” As the interview went on, Sweeney revealed it was her co-star Alexa Demie but assured Corden that it was a complete accident. 

Sweeney laughed as she revealed that she showed up to the wrap party for Euphoria “high on morphine” from her injury. When asked how Alexa responded when she broke Sydney’s toe, Sweeney laughed again, stating, “I didn’t tell her. She doesn’t know; I’m so sorry Alexa.”
