Fans Show Love for BTS’ Jimin Currently Recovering From Covid-19

BTS’ Jimin is currently recovering after testing positive for COVID-19 and receiving surgery for acute appendicitis.

Big Hit Music has released a statement regarding Jimin’s current health status, including his recent diagnosis of COVID-19.

The BTS member experienced sudden abdominal pain and a mild sore throat on January 30, which prompted him to visit the emergency room at a nearby hospital, where he received a PCR test and underwent other examinations. It was later reported that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and had acute appendicitis. He received appendicitis surgery early in the morning on January 31.

“According to the medical staff, the operation went well, and Jimin is currently resting and recovering,” the statement said. “He is expected to be hospitalized for the time being due to the combination of COVID-19 and appendicitis surgery. He is currently experiencing a mild sore throat, but it is improving.”

“We will do our best to support Jimin so that he can recover his health as soon as possible, as we consider our artists’ health and safety as the top priority,” the agency added. “In addition, we will faithfully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the quarantine authorities.”

The label also shared that Jimin was not in contact with any other BTS members during his contagious period and is currently receiving treatment and recovering well.
