Dove Cameron Drops New Song ‘Boyfriend’
Dove Cameron has finally released the full song for “Boyfriend.” The “If Only” singer dropped the song after the teaser went viral on TikTok.
Since its release, the song climbed the charts on Spotify and Offical UK Singles Chart. The singer shared her excitement for the song in a press release.

The song talks about her sexuality, as she tells her love interest that she’d be a “better boyfriend” for her by doing things he’d never do.
The singer hints that her love interest needs a girlfriend, thinking she would treat her better than her boyfriend. The song is haunting, Cameron’s voice sensual and dark, which takes the listener into the speaker’s heart.

In 2020, Cameron came out as bisexual. The Liv & Maddie star came out on her Instagram live feed stating, “Guys, I really needed to explain something to you. Maybe I haven’t said it, but I’m super queer. This is something I want to represent through my music because it’s who I am.”

She shared with The Gay Times that she was nervous about coming out but eventually chose to be true to herself.
