Dua Lipa kicked off her highly anticipated Future Nostalgia tour in Miami on Feb. 9, and it was everything fans could have wanted and more.

The “Levitating” singer told Stephen Colbert that the tour was initially supposed to begin in Apr. 2020, but she had to postpone it because of the pandemic.

Nearly two years later, she’s finally back on stage, with her first performance occurring at the FTX Arena in Miami.

Strutting about in a neon yellow Balenciaga bodysuit complete with matching gloves, Lipa stunned the crowd with her impeccable taste and even better setlist.

Performing everything from her earlier hits “New Rules” and “One Kiss” to Future Nostalgia favorites “Don’t Start Now” and “Physical,” fans experienced the best of the best of the singer’s discography.

And that was what Lipa intended. “I’ve done a lot of audience research,” she told Colbert last week, “[…] and so I feel like I know which songs people like.”

Songs aren’t the only thing Lipa knows people like. During her Miami show, she paid tribute to the memes that made her go viral in 2018 — you know, the ones that made her want to become a better dancer — and the crowd went crazy.

Night one of the Future Nostalgia tour appeared to be a smashing success. And this is only the beginning.

The British artist will continue to tour North America until Apr. 1 and then move to Europe until the end of Jun. Tickets are still available for each leg of the tour and can be purchased here.
