Downton Abbey: A New Era to Release Snippets of New Trailer
Historical British drama film Downton Abbey: A New Era recently announced they plan to release snippets of the upcoming trailer on NBC’s Today Show.
The film’s social media handles released a cast photo alongside the upcoming film sequel announcement. Fans speculated that Henry Talbot, played by actor Matthew Goode, will not be in the sequel since he was missing from the official cast photo.

While there is no official synopsis for the sequel, based on the photo we know that Downton Abbey: A New Era will have original cast members from the first Downton Abbey film. Dominic West, Nathalie Baye, Hugh Dancy, and Laura Haddock have joined the cast.
According to Focus Features, the company producing the film, “Downton creator Academy-Award winner Julian Fellowes will once again write the film’s screenplay, with Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning Gareth Neame and Emmy Award-winning Liz Trubridge back to produce with Fellowes. In addition, BAFTA and Emmy nominated director Simon Curtis (My Week with Marilyn) will join the filmmaking team to direct the sequel.”
The original film centered on the life of a wealthy English family, The Crawley’s, when King George and Queen Mary visited Downton Abbey.
Downton Abbey: A New Era will premier in theaters on May 20. You can watch the teaser trailer below.
