A New Steve Lacy Album Is in the Works
Steve Lacy stans and R&B lovers are in luck. In a recent Instagram post, the “Dark Red” singer revealed that a new album would soon be underway.
The two-time Grammy-nominated singer and guitarist posted a picture of him in the studio with the caption: “album on the way 🔜 tap in 😅.”
Lacy’s last musical release was a compilation album titled The Lo-Fis. Fans are so excited to be receiving new music from the Compton native.

The singer and songwriter keeps a relatively low profile, barring no profile picture on Instagram with only one post and following a cheeky 420 people. Lacy came to fame after he produced his EP Steve Lacy’s Demos with his iPhone and Garageband.
The 23-year-old was nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 62nd Annual Grammys for his album Apollo XXI. It was there that he made a splash on the red carpet when he attended the award show in a gray Commes Des Garçons dress.
There are no details regarding the direction of Lacy’s new music as he has kept the world in suspense. Nevertheless, we’ll be keeping an eye out for any further announcements.
