Prime Video Teases at Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls Series

Body-positive popstar Lizzo’s new series, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 25. 

The eight-episode competition captures Lizzo’s journey in scouting confident and exciting women to join her global tour as background dancers. Ten promising women move into the “Big Grrrls House” and prove their badassery to earn a worldwide spot dancing alongside Lizzo. The unscripted series brings a whole new wave of excitement, diversity, and authenticity that challenges the current status quo of the music industry. 

Lizzo has unapologetically utilized her social platforms to promote body positivity, discredit weight-related stigmas, and prove that outside looks are no indicator of health. The singer has been celebrated for sparking necessary conversations. The superstar has paved the way for plus-size women of color to create spaces for themselves in the spotlight. 

Joining Lizzo on her journey are choreographers Tanisha Scott and Charm La’Donna, original Big Grrrls Chawnta’ Marie Van, Shirlene Quigley, Grace Holden, body-movement expert Rashida KhanBey Miller, and famous singer and songwriter SZA. 

Lizzo additionally will serve as an executive producer for the show, alongside Makiah Green, Kevin Beisler, Julie Pizzi, Farnaz Farjam, Myiea Coy, Kimberly Goodman, and Glenda Cox. Directed by Nneka Onuorah, the series is produced by Amazon Studios, Bunim-Murray Productions, and Lizzo’s production company Lizzo Bangers.

Watch out for the Big Grrrls will premiere on Prime Video in the U.S. on March 25 and will become available in other countries in May. Prime Video offers a wide selection of movies, television shows, and original series, all accessible on any compatible device.
