Friends actor Matthew Perry shared the cover of his new, upcoming memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, which is expected to release in November of this year, to his Instagram account.

The beloved Chandler Bing actor took to social media to share a message with his fans about his memoir releasing globally this November. Perry tells fans, “So much has been written about me in the past. I thought it was time people heard from me. The highs were high, the lows were low. But I have lived to tell the tale, even though at times it looked like I wouldn’t. And it’s all in here.”

Perry has always been candid when discussing his struggles with addiction. In a 2002 interview with The New York Times, Perry saw striking similarities between himself and his iconic Friends character. He tells the publication, “It’s no accident that Chandler is a guy who is trying to deter his own human emotional feelings with laughter. That’s what I did for years. I’ve tried to palm myself off as being a jokester, kind of like hanging out with me is kind of like a vacation. But that could only take me so far.”

Matthew Perry has starred in a string of successful films such as Fools Rush In, The Whole Nine Yards, and Serving Sara. He is most notably known for his portrayal of Chandler Bing on the hit TV show, Friends, from 1994 until 2004. He received an Emmy nomination for his performance in 2002.

More recently, he appeared in the highly anticipated Friends: The Reunion on HBO Max, which aired last May. The reunion went on to shatter records.

Perry inked a deal with Publisher Flatiron Books, a division of Macmillan, in October 2021. We can not be more excited to read Matthew Perry’s memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing. Fans can now pre-order the memoir at select bookstores.
