The Wizarding World and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore First Look

Lumos! The first look of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore seems to be lighting the path ahead of the wizarding world’s collections of films and stories. Teaser shots of Dumbledore’s first army debuted on February 22, with an exciting announcement to follow.

The Secrets of Dumbledore follows immediately after the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald alongside the journey and adventures of our favorite and notable wizards and witches. The following film will be directed by David Yates, produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves, Lionel Wigram, and Tim Lewis. The executive producers for the film include Neil Blair, Danny Cohen, Josh Berger, Courtenay Valenti, and Michael Sharp. Ensuring an established, well-experienced, and talented force amongst the universe.

On February 23, The wizarding world and Fantastic Beasts fans were delighted to sneak a peek into the latest Fantastic Beasts installment. In the upcoming film, a young professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) is acquainted with a powerful dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen), who is plotting to grasp total control of the wizarding world and its community. Setting in the 1930s as Grindelwald’s power forms and continues to transpire, the wizarding world will also be getting involved in World War II events, quite reflective of real-time historical roots within its story-telling. The third installment serves to scope deeper into a younger and darker past through the perspective of Albus Dumbledore. Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) leads a team of wizards and witches against the Grindelwald to end all the madness.   

This is quite an exciting time for Potter heads. The latest installment allows a glimpse into Albus Dumbledore’s past, which contrasts with his quiet, loving, and soft demeanor through this year’s inclusion of war and tension amongst the world. This is quite different from what we know as an audience within the Harry Potter series.

Character posters were released in various carousels on social media, which depicts “Dumbledore’s first army,” a key reference to the DA from the original Harry Potter films, significantly Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix. This includes Jude Law returning as Albus Dumbledore, Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Teddy the Niffler, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Picket the Bowtruckle, Jessica Williams as Lally Hicks, Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander, Victoria Yeates as Bunty, William Nadylam as Yusuf Kama, and Richard Coyle as the brother of Albus, Aberforth.

The next lists of the cast on the wizarding world Instagram include Grindelwald’s army, Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, Aurelius Dumbledore, Alison Sudol as Queenie, Poppy Corby-Tuech as Vinda Rosier, and introduces Aleksandr Kuznetsov as Helmut Weiss.

Fans were also graced by introducing global wizards, which places the wizarding world on a global and international scale, as mentioned in the prior installments. The cast depicts a range of new and familiar faces as the Fantastic Beasts series continues to analyze the wizarding and muggle world alike.

Set production and designs amongst the teaser shots and trailers are completely promising, of course, as any Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter series has immersed watchers and wizard lovers with its production, costume designs, and incredible CGI and graphics coordination. We’re excited to see what will come during the movie’s release in April.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will be released on April 15, 2022, along with an announcement that two more installments will be excitedly following this latest installment.
