2022 SAG Awards: Here Are This Year’s Best Dressed

The 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards was held on February 27 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. The ceremony honored the best achievements in film and television performances in 2021. It was undoubtedly a night to remember for lovers of film and the ever-changing fashion industry. Here are this year’s best dressed:

Ariana DeBose looked pretty in pink in her custom Valentino Couture strapless, floor-length gown. She accessorized her look with a DeBeers diamond necklace and jewelry. She opted for a nude lip and smoky blend with pink eyeshadow to match her dress. The actress made SAG Awards history, where she became the first queer Afro Latina to win Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her role as Anita in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story.

The Melancholia actress Kirsten Dunst was a sparkly sensation in her off-the-shoulder red Erdem gown. Dunst opted for Fred Leighton jewels and a bold red lip. She was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for the Netflix hit film, Power of the Dog. Although she did not win the award, she had her number one supporter and fiancé Jesse Plemons in a black tux by her side.

The Scandal actress Kerry Washington was a ray of sunshine in her fitted, strapless, yellow ballgown by Celia Kritharioti. Washington opted for Messika jewelry and accessorized it with a matching yellow clutch. The actress wore her hair in Old Hollywood-inspired shiny waves. Her eyes popped with a smoky eye and she finished the makeup look off with a bold berry lip shade.

House of Gucci actress and singer Lady Gaga was a vision in white wearing a custom Giorgio Armani Privé gown and Tiffany and Co. jewelry. Gaga dazzled the red carpet with the silk satin gown and embroidered bustier. She was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her role as Patrizia Reggiani in the Ridley Scott drama film, House of Gucci.

Saniyya Sidney, the King Richard star, was a blue-hued princess at her first SAG Awards. The young actress wore a bright blue strapless, floor-length Zuhair Murad gown. Sidney wore her hair up and added jewelry and Jimmy Choo shoes to elevate the look. Her dress undoubtedly stole the show, giving off her very own Cinderella moment.

Cynthia Erivo was a flaming goddess in custom Louis Vuitton. The all-red ensemble featured a vinyl strapless gown with a matching vinyl faux fur cape embroidered with black, red, and silver crystals and chains. The actress accessorized her look with Tiffany and Co. jewelry and matching red nails. The actress and singer was nominated for her role as the legendary singer, Aretha Franklin in the series, Genius: Aretha.
