Jack Harlow to Make His Silver Screen Debut
“What’s Poppin” rapper Jack Harlow is putting his acting chops to the test, as he has just been cast in the reboot of the 1992 classic, White Men Can’t Jump.
The modern take on the sports comedy, which originally starred Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes, is being written by Kenya Barris and Doug Hall according to Deadline. These talented writers are responsible for the black-led ABC comedy, Black-ish.
Harlow is no stranger to the basketball court, as he was a player in the 2022 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. However, though he has skills on the court, his acting abilities were what landed him the iconic role of Billy Hoyle (Woody Harrelson).
The Kentucky rapper is the only confirmed cast member of the reboot so far, and they are in the process of finding an actress to portray his love interest. In the original, Rosie Perez played the beautiful Gloria Clemente.
Despite some pushback over this announcement, many have expressed their excitement for this upcoming film and casting choice.
