A-List Ensemble Cast of New Film Puss In Boots: The Last Wish Are Announced
The cat is officially out of the bag. Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek are teaming up again in yet another Puss in Boots film. The long-awaited sequel is arriving on September 23, 2022.
Banderas is back as our favorite feline, and Hayek is reprising her role as Puss’ former partner, Kitty Soft Paws. Puss and Kitty will be in contact with a third amigo, Perro (Harvey Guillén). Perro is making his franchise debut, with his role being a canine associate to Kitty and Puss.
Apart from Guillén’s debut, other A-list cast members have joined the classic feline franchise. Olivia Colman (The Lost Daughter), Florence Pugh (Black Widow), Ray Wagner Moura (Narcos), Ray Winstone (Black Widow), John Mulaney (Big Mouth), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Lost City), Anthony Mendez (Jane the Virgin), and Samson Kayo (Our Flag Means Death), are joining Banderas and Hayek on this adventure.

The release of the movie sequel will coincide with Pugh’s second film, Don’t Worry Darling, Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller/horror. The film stars Pugh, Harry Styles, Gemma Chan, and Chris Pine.

Puss In Boots: The Last Wish will follow “the daring outlaw Puss in Boots as he discovers that his passion for peril and disregard for safety have taken their toll.” Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado will serve as director and co-director for the sequel. The original film was released in 2011. Puss in Boots, the first film, followed Puss in Boots before he made his debut in Shrek 2.
We cannot be more excited to watch the upcoming Puss in Boots adventure return to the big screen. The original Puss in Boots is available to stream on Apple TV.
