Western is a series set in the 1800s that focuses on the life of a young woman named Polly who leaves her home and moves to a new town to finally meet her suitor, only to find out that her suitor is a teenage boy. Now stuck in this unfamiliar town, Polly tries to make the best of her situation.

Screenwriter Michelle Morgan, known for directing and writing the film It Happened in L.A., is expected to script and supervise the series alongside Miller and Lord. Western will be in production with Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television.

Lord and Miller have a track record of successfully creating, writing, and directing binge-worthy shows and movies. Besides The Afterparty and the Jump Street franchise, Lord and Miller’s works include animated films such as The Lego Movie and Cloudy with the Chance of Meatballs. With their current successful runs, fans of their works can’t wait for the new series to be released.

While Western is still in the beginning stages of production, meaning the cast and release date hasn’t been announced yet, it is a show many are anticipating to watch.
