Congratulations To Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton on Their New Engagement
The Marvel-ous news is out: Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton are saying “I Do.”
Congratulations are in order for Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton. The Loki actor and fellow MCU actress are tying the knot. The pair met when working on the play, Betrayal on Broadway in 2019. The play’s synopsis read: “Betrayal is the story of an illicit affair that unfolds in reverse—from the end of a marriage to the first forbidden spark.” Hiddleston starred as Robert, whose wife, Emma (Ashton), was having an affair with his best friend, Jerry. After collaborating on this project, the two lovebirds have continued to keep a low-profile romance, only making a few appearances together at red carpet events.

The pair sparked engagement rumors at this year’s BAFTA Awards. Hiddleston wore a black velvet blazer over a white shirt, and Ashton looked pretty in pink courtesy of her flowing gown. The pair took a selfie with AJ Odudu, who hosted the BAFTA’s red carpet. Odudu is sandwiched between the happy couple, the trio grinning from ear to ear. They looked incredible, but hawk-eyed fans noticed something huge: A diamond on Ashton’s ring finger.

Hiddleston spoke in an interview with The Telegraph explaining the importance of separating his entertainment life from his private life. He tells the publication, “Everyone is entitled to a private life. I love what I do and I dedicate myself with absolute commitment to making great art and great entertainment, and in my mind, I don’t conflict the two. My work is in the public sphere and I have a private life. And those two things are separate.”
