Watch the Audition Tape That Led to the Trio We Love in Spider-Man: Homecoming
On Tuesday, March 15, Sony released the audition tapes of Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon for Spider-Man: Homecoming. The video was initially released on the Spider-Man: No Way Home Twitter account before circulating all social media platforms.

The audition tape starts with Holland, where he is doing a backflip then moving onto a short dialogue, prompting him to cover his face. The tape sets the mood for the rest of the video; the trio is having a good time and dying of laughter.
The video moves on to Batalon’s audition tape. Upon seeing this, Zendaya interjects, “What a cutie!” Batalon’s segment consists of introducing his character and moving off-camera. He then returns to camera view, including a few more comments. To this, Zendaya and Holland double down on their laughter. Zendaya further questions why he had acted like that.
The next portion of the video reveals Zendaya’s audition tape, where she is seen embodying both the personality of her character MJ and her role of Rue in Euphoria. A few seconds into the tape, Holland praises her audition, vocalizing that it is good. Batalon agrees by uttering, “it’s just like watching a good audition tape.”
The video ends with Zendaya commenting on the film’s commendable casting decision. In reply to her thoughts, Batalon declares, “Who would have thought,” to which all three of them reply, “Not Us,” and “Look at Us.”
While we don’t know if there will be another sequel after Spider-Man: No way Home, you can watch Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home on Hulu. Viewers can stream Spider-Man: No Way Home on STARZ.
