Taylor Swift is Adding a New Film Track to Her Repertoire
Taylor Swift fans have grown Red, longing for new music, and they’re in luck as it was just revealed the singer has written a song for the film Where the Crawdads Sing.
The first trailer for the film Where the Crawdads Sing has dropped and Twitter was sent into a frenzy at the preview of Taylor Swift’s song. The moody new track is titled “Carolina”. It was produced by Aaron Dessner who has worked with Swift multiple times on Folklore and Evermore.
The “Love Story” songstress made an Instagram post of the trailer and a heartfelt message. “Where The Crawdads Sing is a book I got absolutely lost in when I read it years ago.”, she began. “As soon as I heard there was a film in the works starring the incredible @daisyedgarjones and produced by the brilliant @reesewitherspoon, I knew I wanted to be a part of it from the musical side.”
The country-turned-pop star is no stranger to writing songs for film soundtracks. In the past, she has written songs for The Hunger Games, 50 Shades Darker, and Cats. The Twitterverse is ecstatic that she’s decided to add another song to her already long repertoire.

The highly anticipated mystery is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Delia Owens. Starring in the film is Daisy Edgar Jones (Normal People), Harris Dickinson, and Taylor John Smith. The film is set to release on July 15, 2022. According to Swift, the track could be coming to us soon.“ I wanted to create something haunting and ethereal to match this mesmerizing story. You’ll hear it fully soon,”
