Nicola Coughlan and Aimee Lou Wood to Star in New Film
Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton) and Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education) are set to star in a new female-led British comedy, Seize Them!.
Seize Them! is directed by Curtis Vowell. The film is set in the Dark Ages of Britain and follows self-absorbed Queen Dagan (Aimee Lou Wood) as master of her lands. However, her crown is quickly toppled by a revolution led by Humble Joan (Nicola Coughlan), forcing the Queen into the life of a fugitive. With a hefty bounty on her head, the Queen must begin a dangerous journey into taking back her throne.
Coughlan and Lou Wood will be joined by Lolly Adefope (Shrill), Nick Frost (The Nevers), and Jessica Hynes (Years and Years). The film is written by Andy Riley (Veep).

The comedy is set in dark ages Britain where Queen Dagan is toppled by a revolution led by a woman, forcing her to become a fugitive in her own land with a hefty bounty on her head.

Damian Jones, the producer for the film, told Variety, “We are very excited to be working with the funniest young actresses around today in Aimee, Lolly, and Nicola.”

The film is set to start production in Kent and Wales over the course of six weeks. No release date for the film has been announced. Fans can watch Nicola Coughlan in the upcoming seasons of Bridgerton and Derry Girls and Aimee Lou Wood in the new season of Sex Education on Netflix.
