Jacob Holland, the celebrated monster hunter who traveled by land and sea to wrangle terrifying creatures, is in for a surprise when an unexpected ally, Maisie Brumble, stows away on his fabled vessel. They are in for an adventure as they make history on an epic journey across uncharted waters in a red sailed ship, according to the trailer. Variety shared years back, that the film’s monsters are inspired by the beasts that were seen on 16th and 17th-century maps.

Williams, who won an Oscar for Big Hero 6, was also nominated for best animated feature for Bolt, and was responsible for delivering the animated hit Moana, will now take us ‘where the map ends and the true adventure begins’ in The Sea Beast.

The quality of the animation draws you into Maisie’s wide-eyed delight in boarding the sea vessel and she’s also met with a new friend aboard Holland’s ship who is a part of the crew, as we see huge sea monsters rising from the ocean putting ships on tilt with the roar of the ocean.

Make sure to check out the trailer below and get ready for this inspiring adventure on July 8.
