Gabrielle Union Added to Co-star in Apple TV+ Series, Truth Be Told
Apple TV has just confirmed that Gabrielle Union (Bring It On) will be added to the cast of Truth Be Told as a lead co-star alongside Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures) for the upcoming season. Union will play the role of Eva, an outspoken and honest high school principal.
Truth Be Told is a crime series about a true-crime podcaster, Poppy Scoville (Spencer), who seeks the truth no matter the consequences. Scoville sets her sights on Eva’s case involving a disturbing incident in the upcoming season.

The crime series is influenced by a mystery novel titled, Are You Sleeping by writer Kathleen Barber. The fictional book is about a famous podcast created by investigative reporter Poppy Parnell. Parnell focuses on an old murder case, causing it to affect the victim’s family.
Here’s a brief overview of what happened in the last two seasons of the crime series. In season 1, Scoville investigates an old murder case where Warren Cave (Aaron Paul) was convicted of the crime decades ago. In season 2, Kate Hudson co-stars Scoville’s childhood friend, Micah Keith. She enlists the help of Scoville to investigate the death of her husband, Joshua Keith.
