Popstar Conan Gray is embarking on a new sad boy era with the announcement of his new album.

The “Heather” singer made it known across his social media platforms that his sophomore album titled Superache will be released this summer.

During a conversation with Rolling Stone, Gray opened up the meaning of his upcoming body of work telling the magazine, “A superache is something that hurts you so much, it lingers with you for years after,” He continues to divulge to Rolling Stone,  “It’s something that can only be healed through years of dramatic mourning, self-sabotage, songwriting, crying to your friends. It’s a super ache.”

For fans wondering if Conan Gray will keep his streak of gut-wrenching heartbreak anthems, you’re in luck. The California native disclosed, “Superache is definitely a vulnerable album, but not without its sarcasm. It’s a story of heartbreak, friends, yearning, mourning, and grieving parts of your past you ignored for years.” All of these details leave fans unable to contain their excitement.

No tracklist has been revealed for Superache nor whether there will be any features. However, we can only hope that we may see a collaboration with his bestie Olivia Rodrigo. Gray recently joined the “Brutal” songstress on stage for her Vancouver show during Sour Tour, and it is clear the two are magic together. Superache is set to be released on June 24 and will be more vulnerable than any of Gray’s other works.
