Jung Hoyeon to Star in New A24 Film The Governesses
After the release of the popular series Squid Game, Jung Hoyeon will star in two exciting upcoming films, one of them being Joe Talbot’s The Governesses. Aside from Talbot’s new A24 film, she will also act in Alfonso Cuarón’s Apple TV+ series, Disclaimer.
A24 brought together an excellent cast for The Governesses. Lily-Rose Depp and Renate Reinsve are joining Jung in the new movie. The three actresses have starred in fantastic series and films and will now be brought together by Talbot. Talbot has already collaborated with A24 Films to create the critically acclaimed picture, The Last Black Man in San Francisco.
Talbot is basing the film on Anne Serre’s novel of the same name. The story follows three governesses who are cooped up in a large country house. They are closed off from the rest of the world and must educate the boys in their care. On a particular day, their role is to prepare a party for these boys; however, they decide to rebel and go on an erotic adventure.
Talbot uploaded a post on Instagram to confirm the film’s upcoming release. He added a hilarious comment, “Surprise I’m the 4th governess,” with mermaid emojis to back him up. Fans of The Last Black Man in San Francisco are excited about what Talbot has up his sleeve, especially after his first A24 film won the Directing Award at the U.S. 2019 Sundance Film Festival.
