FKA Twigs Releases New Visual to ‘Oh My Love’
FKA twigs is back with a stunning new visual from her latest project, CAPRISONGS. The 17-track mixtape was released this past January.
After announcing a lengthy mixtape in January, the “Fallen Alien” singer is back with a glamorous music video to the track, “Oh My Love.” CAPRISONGS was a therapeutic creative project for twigs who took to Instagram to share the creative process.
She writes, “CAPRISONGS is telling me to work thru my pain by delivering at work, don’t think just go studio and create, my saggi moon being the enigmatic temptress craving the club, to dance, and to be social, and my pisce venus hot mess disastrous heart falling in love all over again, but this time with music and with myself.”
The “Oh My Love” visual is not entirely a music video. The singer calls the visual a “caprivid,” defined as “a short and punchy music video using a segment of a song. Mini music videos made with limited time and resources.” The visual is only two minutes long, but it is certainly filled with explosions of color and unique energy.
“Oh My Love” was directed by Aidan Zamiri. The singer is seen being pampered at the beauty salon. In one still, twigs is the customer, getting her nails done while she receives advice from the nail tech about men that play with women’s hearts. In another scene, twigs embodies the role of a model, complete with a white robe and stunning nails.
