Bad Bunny to Star in New Marvel Film
Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny is entering the Marvel Universe as the lead superhero in the film El Muerto.
At CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known as Bad Bunny, was announced as the new lead in the Sony Marvel film, El Muerto. “To bring El Muerto to life is just incredible .. so exciting,” the ‘Yo Perreo Sola’ rapper gushed.
The film will follow Juan-Carlos Estrada Sanchez, also known as El Muerto, who is a wrestler with powers that are passed down from generation to generation through a mask. He makes his first appearance in the Spider-Man comic books. Throughout the comics, he goes toe to toe with everyone’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Bad Bunny will be the first Latino actor to lead in a live-action Marvel film. This is a milestone that leaves many ecstatic at the studio’s progress.
