Sony Gave Exciting Updates on Bullet Train and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Sony gave exciting updates on highly anticipated theatrical releases, including Bullet Train and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at CinemaCon.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Pictures Entertainment chairman Tom Rothman shared Sony’s commitment to producing quality theatrical releases by proudly presenting what they have in store.
Producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller unveiled footage from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the first part of the two-part sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The 15-minute footage introduces Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld), Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac), Spider-Woman (Issa Rae), and Vulture. Upon viewing this footage, Erik Davis from Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes raved about the action sequences on Twitter.
What was so impressive about #SpiderManAcrossTheSpiderVerse footage was how the action was big & wild & incredibly unique, but also they managed to dive deep into an emotional moment between Spider-Gwen & her cop dad. The amount of heart they eek out of 15 min! My god! pic.twitter.com/rKztp6xsl3

David Leitch, director of the upcoming action-thriller Bullet Train, also took the stage to send a message from him and producing partner Kelly McCormick. He stated that his goal with Bullet Train was to make something “incredibly original, something that would get people back into the cinema.”
The movie, led by Brad Pitt, features a star-studded cast. The exciting cast list includes the likes of Sandra Bullock, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Logan Lerman, and Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known by his stage name Bad Bunny.
Pitt plays an assassin on a mission to retrieve a briefcase from a moving train in Tokyo. The action-packed footage shows Pitt’s character meeting other assassins on the train, each with their own missions. Davis took to Twitter again to give his positive review.
We just watched the first 15 minutes or so of #BulletTrain, which was awesome. A bunch of crazy assassins on a train, all colliding with one another. Brad Pitt thinks it’s a simple snatch-and-grab job, and then all hell breaks loose. Terrific humor, too.#CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/fp6FrRCFO7
