Drake, one of the world’s best-selling rappers, dropped a surprise album Honestly, Nevermind, on Friday, June 17, after announcing the drop on his Instagram the previous day. He posted a photo of the album’s cover art, a black background with the album name written in silver gothic font. Honestly, Nevermind, the follow-up to Certified Lover Boy, marks the rapper’s seventh studio record.

The album has quickly risen to the top of the charts since its release and has become Spotify’s most-streamed album for a single day. His album left the internet questioning why he opted for the creative change of performing mostly vocals until its final two tracks “Sticky” and “Jimmy Cook’s.” “Jimmy Cook’s” has become the most-viewed song from the album with the collaboration of 21 Savage, and being produced by Vinylz, Cubeatz, and Tay Keith.

Drake not only dropped a new album, but he also treated fans with a music video for the song “Falling Back.” In the video, featuring Tristan Thomson as the best man, the Canadian artist shocked his fans with the portrayal of him marrying 23 different women.

On Apple Music, the rapper writes in the album description of his self-expression through music: “I work with every breath in my body cause it’s the work not air that makes me feel alive. That’s some real detrimental sh*t but that’s that sh*t my perfectionist mind doesn’t really mind because no one knows what’s on my mind when I go to sleep at 9 & wake up at 5 – unless I say it in rhyme.”

Celebrities welcomed his news by commenting on his Instagram post. DJ Khaled commented “Get your spritzers ready!” and Lil Yachty wrote, “It’s your time to shine Jimmy Brooks.”
