Olivia Rodrigo Sings Angry Tribute to the Supreme Court

Interscope Records

Singer Olivia Rodrigo, 19, dedicated the song “F*** You” to Supreme Court justices following the overturn of Roe v. Wade in front of 200,000 fans during her set at Glastonbury Festival yesterday. Rodrigo invited “F*** You” British singer Lily Allen, 37, on stage to duet the song with her in a passionate and angry performance.

Rodrigo called out by name five of the members of the Supreme Court responsible for the decision: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh. “We hate you,” she roared.

“I’m devastated and terrified that so many women and so many girls are going to die because of this,” Rodrigo stated. “I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who have shown us that at the end of the day, they truly don’t give a s*** about freedom.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) retweeted a video of Rodrigo’s speech, that now has over 17 million views, and offered her praise to the singer: “THANK YOU @oliviarodrigo and every artist, athlete, and entertainer who uses their platform to speak out in industries where there is immense pressure to say & do little bc many believe silence is more profitable. Culture matters. Moments like these make a huge, huge difference.”

Allen previously stated that she wrote the 2009 song thinking of former President George W. Bush.

In an Instagram post, Olivia Rodrigo stated “glastonbury was magical!!!! huge thanks to @lilyallen for sharing the stage with me and helping share such an important message. a day I will never forget.”
