On June 29, the trailer to Roberts’ latest rom-com arrived. Ticket to Paradise follows divorced exes (Clooney and Roberts) who must work together in order to stop their daughter, Lily (Kaitlyn Dever), from making the same mistake they did. Lily goes on a post-graduation trip to Bali and quickly falls for a local. Roberts’ character tells her ex-husband that their daughter cannot throw her life away, and the two must form a truce in order to make this work.

The trailer is entertaining, as fans watch Roberts and Clooney fire back comments at one another. One of the memorable exchanges begins with Roberts telling the flight attendant that she must be seated somewhere else because she cannot sit near her ex-husband. Clooney sighs and states, “Worst 19 years of my life,” to which Roberts replies, “We were only married for five.” Clooney quips, “I’m including the recovery.”

Ticket to Paradise is directed by Ol Parker (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again), who also co-wrote the script with Daniel Pipski. Apart from George Clooney, Kaitlyn Dever, and Julia Roberts, the cast also stars Billie Lourd (Booksmart), Lucas Bravo, Amanda O’Dempsey, Rowan Chapman, Murran Kain, and Vanessa Everett.

Ticket to Paradise will undoubtedly be a memorable rom-com. Be sure to watch the trailer below. The film will hit theaters on October 21.
