Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons Are Newly Married
Cue the happy tears: Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons are finally officially wed.
Congratulations are in order for Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons. The Melancholia actress married her long-time love, Jesse Plemons over the weekend. A rep for Dunst confirmed the news to People. The couple held a secret wedding at the GoldenEye resort in Jamaica.
After a six-year relationship, including the birth of two children, a wedding for the happy couple was long overdue. Dunst revealed, “We have to get married at this point. It’s ridiculous. We just haven’t planned a wedding.” Although both are busy in their acting careers, Dunst adds that her second pregnancy and the COVID-19 halted their nuptials.
The power couple met on the set of season 2 of the FX series, Fargo, in 2015. There, the two starred as a married couple. Dunst and Plemons began dating the following year in 2016. The couple also co-starred in Netflix’s Windfall and episodes of Black Mirror and Drunk History. Apart from those projects, the actors are most notably known for starring opposite one another in Netflix’s The Power of the Dog. The Western psychological drama film scored Dunst and Plemons their first Oscar nominations in a history-making feat.

Dunst and Plemons have both voiced their eagerness to work together again in the future. The actress revealed to The Hollywood Reporter, “We actually talked to [Power of the Dog producer] Tanya Seghatchian about what Jesse and I should do next. We have some ideas, and Jesse and I definitely want to do another project. He’s my favorite actor to work with.”
Plemons echoes his wife’s sentiment, adding, “I don’t wanna do another project without her. It’s just the best. We fell in love creatively first on Fargo, just immediately trusted each other. I’m constantly amazed by what she brings. She just operates from such a deep place in her soul.”
