After six seasons, Better Call Saul actress Rhea Seehorn is officially an Emmy nominee with her nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series. The actress also scored another Emmy nomination for Outstanding Actress In A Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for her role in AMC’s Cooper’s Bar. Seehorn has captured fans’ hearts since the show’s first season, which aired in 2015.

On July 12, the Television Academy announced the nominees for this year’s Emmy Awards. Ahead of the announcement, fans have been left disappointed for Rhea Seehorn, the heart behind Vince Gilligan’s series, Better Call Saul. Her role as lawyer Kim Wexler has continuously been praised and remains arguably the most beloved character in the series.

The actress has felt fans’ sadness and has been overwhelmed by their support. She states, “The reception by critics and fans of the show, and then of my character and my performance—I don’t really think I can express my gratitude for that.” Seehorn was in London with her fiancé, Graham Larson, and Better Call Saul costume designer, Jennifer Bryan, when she heard the exciting and long overdue news. She revealed that “Larson leaned in and told her she got it after years he’d held her hand on all the other mornings when she had not got it.”

Seehorn’s Better Call Saul co-star Bob Odenkirk has been her biggest cheerleader. Odenkirk, who just scored his fifth nomination for his role as Saul Goodman in the series, is celebrating his co-star today. He states, “The fact that Rhea got nominated is right at the top of the whole experience for me today. She has been the best scene partner and friend for six years. She’s made me a better actor, and she’s made it easy to do hard work together. She deserves all she gets as far as accolades, for the depth and dimension that she brought to Kim Wexler and the way that character grew because of her outstanding performance.”

As Better Call Saul comes to an end on August 15, this could not be a more bittersweet ending for Rhea Seehorn. Here at Glitter, we could not be happier for the actress. Fans can stream the final episodes of Better Call Saul each Monday on AMC.
