A baby’s gotta do what a baby’s gotta do, and Paramount+ knew what they had to do when it came time to decide the fate of the Rugrats reboot. At the moment, fans can expect at least 26 more episodes of the beloved animated series.

At this year’s Comic-Con International: San Diego, it was announced that the series would be picked up for 13 episodes for the second half of season two and another 13 episodes for season three, which will air in 2023. The Comic-Con panel made up of EG Daily (Tommy), Cheryl Chase (Angelica), Charlet Chung (Kimi), and executive producer Eryk Casemiro discussed the impact of rebooting the series for today’s viewers, and they treated attendees to a first look of the upcoming season.

In the new trailer, the pint-sized crew takes on gigantic adventures before nap time. From the space ships to the pyramids, this new season promises twice the heroics, twice the confusion, and twice the snacks.

While fans can expect new experiences, they can also rely on the same babies for the nostalgia effect. So while the babies are traveling through space or the tundras, it’s no surprise to see clumsy Chuckie, courageous Tommy, authoritative Angelica, and Phil and Lil just being Phil and Lil.

The original Rugrats series was a staple for ‘90s babies everywhere, which led the show to four Daytime Emmy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 2021 reboot has followed suit and made its mark on older and newer viewers, specifically with the revelation that the beloved character Betty DeVille is gay.

There is no word yet on a release date for the upcoming episodes, but until then, you can catch the current episodes of Rugrats on Paramount+. Check out the season two trailer below.
